three years since the biggest Christchurch earthquake

hopefully the new city will include light rail

The "biggest" as there were four major quakes over 2010-2011, however, the one on 22 February 2011 caused the most destruction and all the deaths, most from the collapse of two buildings which shouldn't have collapsed.  A program on the Prime TV channel this week provided an interesting look at the process of urban city planning for the new Christchurch - nearly half the buildings in the central city had to be demolished - and the opportunities that has created.  All the buildings that needed to be removed now have been, and the city now resembles the state that parts of East Berlin were in after the fall of the Berlin wall.
