Ranfurly township and railway, May 1951

An aerial photo looking northwest by Whites Aviation that was considered for, but not used in the book The Otago Central Railway: a tribute by Tony Hurst because in the smaller page format used in that book the details of interest weren't distinct.  However, in this full-size blow-up version these become apparent. The station survives as a visitor centre and small museum, even a section of track has been left outside.  Most of the Otago Central Railway today is a popular rail-trail.
