Seen at Barstow, California, in 1970. This dated from 1953. A total of 204 of this model were built by ALCo between 1952 and 1955, of which 53 went to Santa Fe including a demonstrator unit. They were Co-Co type and had a 1600 hp prime mover. (Santa Fe photo)
