outside the Gare du Nord in Paris 50 years ago


The effect of years of urban atmospheric pollution is evident on the facade of the Gare du Nord in Paris in 1961 as a Chausson autobus, well bedecked with flags, and a TN4H(?) alongside await passengers.

By way of contrast, below are a couple of pics taken by Geoff Churchman last year, with the facade cleaned.
